The New York Knicks have announced their July 1 plans, choosing to make their pitch to free agent Joe Johnson in California at midnight on Thursday. While LeBron James is certainly the team’s No. 1 target, head coach Mike D’Antoni and team president Donnie Walsh plan on meeting with his possible sidekick before flying to Ohio later that afternoon.
The Knicks have emerged as Johnson’s top choice for his next team, according to the report. The New York Knicks are still trying to lure LeBron James to the Big Apple and are using any means necessary.

Other stars like pitcher C.C. Sabathia have also been more than happy to put in a good word for the city.
